Adé Adéniji

ICF, MCIPD, CDTLF, CDWF

Adé Adéniji is a certified coach, group facilitator and accredited mediator. He is also a certified Daring Way™ and Dare to Lead™ facilitator. These combinations allow Adé to hold the space for difficult conversation and to walk with individuals, groups, teams and organisations, in shifting any limiting perceptions, discovering infinite possibilities and releasing their optimal potential.

In most environments I work in, I tend to be ‘the only one’ or ‘in the minority’. This has ended up driving my passion for working on themes that include issues like harnessing trust and creating psychological safety within teams, exploring intention and impact and helping create cultures where people feel they can have conscious courageous conversations. I’m passionate doing this exploration with groups or in 1-1 coaching sessions.

Experience

Adé has over 20 years experience in human resources, spanning the public, private and not-for-profit sectors. He was Human Resources Director with Liberty Global Europe and Head of Human Resources with Guardian News and Media Ltd. He held other HR roles with ITV, the Foreign & Commonwealth Office, Cabinet Office and the Government Legal Service.

Adé is co-founder ‘The Quest for Gay Men’, a UK-based social enterprise that delivers personal development programs aimed at transforming the relationships gay men have with themselves, others and the world they inhabit.

Ade holds an MSc In Human Resources Consultancy and a Diploma in Group Facilitation, Counselling Skills and Conflict Resolution. He is also an ordained Interfaith Minister and Spiritual Counsellor.

Specialisms

As a practitioner Adé adopts a holistic approach in all aspects of his work, this involves working with individuals, teams and organisations to give voice to unspoken words and behaviours, with a view to having conscious courageous conversations.

His work revolves around themes of belonging and identity, resolving when they are in conflict, within the individual, with another or within organisations.

Personal style

Ade is well versed in developing relationships and putting clients at ease, allowing them to enter a vulnerable space that facilitates deep understanding and transformation.

Adé is passionate about exploring the individual’s inner landscape to see how that plays out in day-to-day interactions. He is also keen on helping clients cultivate the necessary habits for consistent emotional hygiene.

Ade has taken me through an eye-opening journey where I became more aware of my thought patterns and how to make them less pervasive. All through this journey he has been the prefect coach: he has the rare quality of seeing the good in people in a very sincere, never forced way and even when my reflection was coming to a dead end, he always found the intelligent, relevant and right thing to say that made the discussion move further on a deeper level. Now I see things in a very different way and I feel that the change is still going on after the end of our coaching. I highly recommend Ade for all people who are afraid to show up and be seen!
